(Ruston, Louisiana-AP) -- Nick Cauley and Dan Preaus each had a pair of hits and drove in two runs helping Louisiana Tech to a 6-to-5 victory over Hawaii today in Western Athletic Conference play.
Wade Robinson also had a hit and drove in a run for the Bulldogs, who improved to 16-and-2 overall with a 3-and-11 record in the WAC. The Rainbows fell to 14-and-23 overall and 3-and-8 in the conference.
Hawaii outhit Louisiana Tech 14-to-8 but fell a run shy after leaving 10 men on base. Cortland Wilson drove in a pair of runs on a second-inning home run while Gregg Omori also had two hits and an RBI. Tied a three in the fourth, Cullen Simmons led off with a double for Louisiana Tech and eventually came around to score on an error. After a sacrifice fly made it 5-to-3, Cauley finished off the scoring with an R-B-I single.
