Police: Murder Victim Was Police Informant

(Honolulu-AP) -- Honolulu police aren't saying whether a murder victim was killed because he had once been a police informant. Edward Fuller was gunned down January 26th on Jack Lane in Nuuanu.

Homicide Lieutenant Bill Kato says Fuller was sent to the mainland under the witness protection program after he assisted police with several cases. Kato says Fuller was dropped from the program after he returned to Hawaii.

According to court documents, Fuller indicted last June that he had been back in Hawaii for six years. Kato says Fuller's murder is related to the death of Tracey Tominaga. Her body was discovered April third in a shallow grave above Makakilo.

Jason Perry, a suspect in both deaths, was arrested April fifth. He's being held on one (M) million dollars bail while awaiting trial on drug and gun charges. Perry hasn't been charged with either murder.
