Iolani Grad Ta'amu Goes To Minnesota

(Honolulu-AP) -- An Iolani High School graduate was selected today in the fourth round of the N-F-L draft. Ed Ta'amu was a guard at Utah. He was chosen by the Minnesota Vikings. The six-foot-one, 330-pound Ta'amu was the 132nd player selected overall.

University of Hawaii quarterback Nick Rolovich, safety Robert Grant and offensive lineman Manly Kanoa the Third weren't chosen in the draft. They will learn this week if they will be invited to NFL free-agent camps.

Meanwhile, former University of Hawaii safety Nate Jackson signed a two-year free-agent contract with the NFL's Tennessee Titans. And former teammate Channon Harris, a slotback, signed a free-agent contract with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.
