(Honolulu-AP) -- Bob Runyan pitched his seventh complete game last night to lead Fresno State over the University of Hawaii 5-to-4. Runyan gave up eleven hits and walked two, while striking out ten. The Bulldogs took a 5-2 lead in the seventh inning on a solo homer by Scott Beshears. Tim Montgomery had an R-B-I sacrifice fly in the eighth and Gregg Omori had one in the ninth for Hawaii to account for the final score. Fresno State took a 1-0 lead in the second on Brad Harper's triple. The Rainbows responded in the bottom of the inning with Brent Cook driving in two runs. The three-game Western Athletic Conference series is tied 1-1 going into this afternoon's finale.
