"The Rock" To Headline Wrestling Bout In Hawaii On June 15

(Honolulu-AP) -- Former Hawaii resident, now wrestling and movie star "The Rock", is returning to the islands to headline a World Wrestling Entertainment bout next month.

"The Rock," whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, will face Chris Jericho on June 15th in a no-disqualification bout at Blaisdell Arena.

Johnson attended Washington Intermediate and McKinley High before moving to Pennsylvania for his junior year. His grandfather, Samoan High Chief Peter Maivia, was also a wrestling promoter in Hawaii.

The 6-5, 275-pound entertainer plays the main role in the film "The Scorpion King." Tickets, which range from 25-90 dollars, go on sale Saturday morning at the Blaisdell box office and all Ticket Plus outlets.
