(Reno, Nevada-AP) -- Mike Hass, Mike Gillies and JaRell McIntyre each drove in two runs as Nevada defeated Hawaii 11-2 today.
The Wolf Pack scored three runs in the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and followed up with six runs in the eighth, dropping the Rainbows to 16-and-36, their worst record in school history.
James Holcomb gave up two runs in seven innings to pickup the win. Hawaii's Ricky Bauer recorded the loss by giving up four runs and nine hits in six and two-third innings of work.
The Wolf Pack had 12 hits, including three by outfielder Jeff Tolotti, compared to Rainbows' six hits and three errors. Brent Hook and Kevin Gilbride each hit a solo homerun for Hawaii's only runs.
