    Wahine Sweep Past Ohio State

    The fourth-ranked University of Hawaii women's volleyball team opened its season last night with a quick three-game victory over Number Nine Ohio State. Kim Willoughby had 18 kills for Hawaii as the Wahine stopped the Buckeyes 30-24, 30-24, 30-23 at the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center. More >>

    Lelie And Rolovich Score Touchdowns

    Two former University of Hawaii football players scored touchdowns for Denver last night as the Broncos rolled over the Seattle Seahawks 31-0. Ashley Lelie caught a 38-yard touchdown pass early in the first quarter, then bulled his way in for a four-yard TD late in the quarter. More >>

    Ulbrich Out 3-6 Weeks With Hyperextended Knee

    San Francisco 49ers starting linebacker Jeff Ulbrich will be out three to six weeks after hyperextending his right knee. The former University of Hawaii player was injured last night during the 49ers' 17-10 exhibition loss to Oakland when he came in late on a tackle.

    Kapolei High School played its first varsity pre-season football game last night, losing to Waianae 28-0. Kapolei had played at the junior-varsity level since opening three years ago.
