Manuwai, Tinoisamoa and Brown Named Football Team Captains

(Honolulu-AP) -- Offensive lineman Vince Manuwai and linebackers Pisa Tinoisamoa and Chris Brown have been named Hawaii's football team captains for this season.

Coach June Jones announced the team captains yesterday. Jones allowed the players to choose captains for offense and defense. He says Tinoisamoa and Brown finished in a tie for first, so he decided to make them both captains.

All three are seniors. Brown already has been invited to play in the Hula Bowl and East-West Shrine post-season all-star games. Tinoisamoa also has been invited to play in the East-West Shrine Game, while Manuwai is a candidate for the Outland Trophy as the nation's top lineman.
