(Honolulu-AP) -- Former University of Hawaii quarterback Nick Rolovich has been released by the Denver Broncos. Those being cut by the team were told yesterday, although the announcement will be made today.
Rolovich says he hopes what he learned will help him gain a position on another team.
If he isn't re-signed by the Broncos or picked up by another NFL team, Rolovich plans to return to Hawaii to complete work on his bachelor's degree.
Rolovich was a free agent when Denver signed him in May. On Thursday night, he was 4-9 for 50 yards and had a 1-yard touchdown run in the Broncos' 31-0 victory over Seattle.
Last season, Rolovich led Hawaii to eight victories in nine starts as a senior. He completed 58 percent of his passes for three-thousand-361 yards and 34 touchdowns.
