It's back to work for the Warrior football team. The guys in green lost a tight one last Friday up at BYU 35-32 but according to head coach June Jones...he's not ready to pack it in just yet.
Eleven games are still left on the Hawaii schedule and he knows the Warriors could still step up and make some noise before it's all said and done.
Quarterback Timmy Chang had a rough night in Provo, throwing four picks against the Cougar defense but Jones says Timmy's night can't be fully evaluated by just one column on the stat sheet.
In the end the Cougars escaped with a three point win and the Warriors came home with some valuable lessons - still locked on a bowl goal.
Coach Jones also said today that running back Jonathan Kauka will miss the rest of the season. The six foot senior out of Hilo's Waiakea High School suffered torn ligaments in his right knee. Kauka is a leader on the UH special teams unit.
The Warriors play next on the 21st at Texas El Paso.
