(Honolulu-AP) -- The University of Hawaii women's volleyball team ran its record to 12-0 tonight with a 30-15, 30-19, 30-16 Western Athletic Conference victory over Louisiana Tech.
Doctors had wanted outside hitter Kim Willoughby to sit out the match because of back muscle spasms. But the All-American junior contributed nine kills and five of the Wahine's eight service aces.
Lily Kahumoku led second-ranked UH with 15 kills as the Wahine upped their WAC record to 2-0. Megan Rush had ten kills for the Lady Techsters, who dropped to 12-8 overall and 0-2 in the WAC.
