(Fresno, California-AP) -- The University of Hawaii football Warriors beat Fresno State 31-21 tonight on the mainland. UH quarterback Timmy Chang was 36-61 for 462 yards, cementing his place among the nation's leaders in total offense.
The Warriors scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Chang threw a 58-yard scoring pass to Justin Colbert before Britton Komine scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 13-yard pass. John West ran 81 yards straight up the middle for another score with 41 seconds left as Hawaii was trying to run out the clock.
It was the Warriors' first victory in Fresno since 1973.
UH improved to 6-2 on the season and 5-1 in the Western Athletic Conference, while the Bulldogs dropped to 4-5 and 2-2.
